Professor Rattan Lal is one of the world's leading soil scientists and a recipient of the World Food Prize. Over a career spanning more than six decades, his research has transformed our understanding of soil as a living ecosystem—showing how healthy soils can improve food security, restore biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience and help tackle climate change. He is a Distinguished University Professor at The Ohio State University and has been a global advocate for regenerative, nature-centred agriculture.
